The Inevitable..

It finally happened... I am sick for the first time since my arrival in Ecuador! I know what you are all thinking, and to answer your question, no it's not the kind of sick where I find myself running to the bathroom at 2 in the morning and continue to live there, wrapped around the base of the toilet for 24 hours...

No, no. I have a cold. Your next question might be how in the world I got a cold in Ecuador in the middle of their summer?

Answer: With being the "mom" over all the babies comes lots of sick kiddies. Currently three of my little girls have a cold, and anyone who has ever been around babies and toddlers know that when a kid is sick all they want to do is cuddle! And there is no way I was going to play it safe and not cuddle back! Lots of hugs and kisses to help them feel better.. So of course that is how my uncommon Ecuadorian cold came to be!
Don't worry though, I am already stocked up on dayquil and am fully prepared with my bottle of nyquil for tonight. This thing will be gone in no time!
Xoxo

P.s. On a side note, today I was feeding Richard Paul a bottle and afterwards was burping him.. I got a successful burp out of him and felt pretty proud of myself...

UNTIL.....

The entire arm and front of my OSSO sweatshirt was coated in a warm white liquid. This is the first time I have ever have a baby truly spit up on me. I wasn't even mad, instead I laughed for about ten minutes and told myself I had to thank my dad for everything he went through!
So thanks Papu! For putting up with me as a baby, and thanks to your fantastic washable blue blazer! Definitely no doubt in my mind the love you have for me!
Love, your little Schmeg.
