I'm thinking that this post may offend many of my readers,
but it has to be said.
I must get it off my chest.
Yesterday I woke to find my FB, Twitter and Insta overrun with one thing.
JUSTIN BIEBER IS COMING TO SLC JANUARY 5!!!
ohhhhhh emmmm geeeee.
Some of you are probably thinking,
"Why is Meg friends with so many 14 year olds?"
I'm not.
This was the reaction of many women in their 20's.
Now let's be honest, some of his songs are catchy,
and what normal 22 year old girl doesn't enjoy gyrating a little bit to the sexy, smooth vocals oozing from the speakers provided by a lustrous 16 year old with hair like prince charming and a smile that could melt the ice queen?
And yes, he treats his girlfriend like gold. Who wouldn't want an entire floral shop delivered to you on Valentines day?
(Actually that sounds kinda messy, and stupid, But that's beside the point)
Believe me, I understand.
But when it comes to seeing him in concert, you can count me out faster than you can say Selena Gomez.
I can honestly say that the very last thing I would ever want to do is pay 100+ of my hard earned cash to stand in the nose bleed section at the Energy Solutions Arena, next to ten thousand screaming 13 year olds and their "poor" mothers, who pretend they are hating every second of it, while really just trying to hide their old lady boners.
I mean has it honestly become socially acceptable to be a college graduate, ready to be an adult and take on the world while still turning into complete mush the second some adolescent boy gives his half smile on television?
It's like he embodies that one 8th grade boy, whom all the 7th grade girls had a crush on.. but of course he was dating the uber gorgeous latina girl that everyone sucked up to, but actually hated.
It's all very strange to me.
It's all very strange to me.
Listen, the point is, if you were born before 1994 please leave the squealing, crying, giggling, screaming and all around ridiculousness to the girls who have not yet endured puberty.
Tis their job, so let them do it.
Wait, Selena why are you kissing that girl?
I think I'm going to buy a letterman jacket and put a giant M on it. Great idea!
Swaggy.
Swaggy.
